I've been sending my shoes to Steve Komito* at:
Komito Boots
235 W. Riverside
P.O. Box 2106
Estes Park, CO 80517
1-800-422-2668
What I've heard is that a lot of resole operations have massive staff turnover. Basically, your shoes are being used to train some dude who is going to quit in a few weeks to go on a road trip, thus crap quality. The normal deal with Komito is to call and they'll let you know how busy they are. I'll bet that if you say to Steve, "I love these shoes, and I only want you to work on them," that he would be cool with that.
(* Steve Komito is/was a major old-school badass around Colorado - check your climbing history)
Best resoles?
I sent my EB's to Komito years ago to get a leather upper added to cover the thin canvas, the cool babes there circa 78, embroided my name, a Christmas tree, and a mistletoe scene on the covers, I still have them and am grateful to this day. Komito's skills go beyond resoles also, should you have some expensive Mtneering boots that need some sizing adjustment or so contact him. Tom is correct also that his climbing prowess is well documented. Flying Brian does excellent "laminations"(inside joke) also.
I used Crescent last summer, they did a so so job. Put to much rubber and completely reshaped the toe of my Lynx (wondered if they had even seen a pair of Lynx befoer to know what the toe is supposed to look like).
I dropped my Mythos off at Lex Rocks last October, still haven't seen them.
In the past I had used Red Rock Resole and had noting but good results, Jules has since passed away so I don't know who if anybody is continuing her business.
I've had luck with Marmot Mountainworks and Wilson Eastside Sports too.
Good luck SCIN, seems like resoles are a crap shoot anymore!

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Yosemite Bum did the best job I have seen in all the pairs I have sent in. Plus, I have heard many good comments on Brian's work. He is fast and talented.
Rock and Resole did a good job but Yosemite Bum was better
Fly'n Brian did a poor job on a pair - delaminated too soon
Wilson's did a poor job on a pair - rand delaminated
Rubber Room did a poor job - ground the sole and rand down too far, didn't edge for shit and delaminated.

I had Flyin Brian resole my 5.10's two times in three years -- quality jobs both times. Only had to send em back when I wore thru the rubber again.
I've heard he's not taking new orders though.

Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

An update from the lonesome crowded west-
- fly'n Brian is no longer resoling shoes, so count him out.
- and sadly, Jules is no longer with us, and I don't think anyone took over RRR.
SCIN, I know you said you didn't want a newby, but I had Joe resole my Paranoias 3-4 months ago, and they're still holding strong.

I've been sending mine to rock and resole in Boulder for over ten years. Always have done a good job and they have great turn around times. I would highly recommend trying them http://www.rockandresole.com/
