Leaving the Black Swap and Moving To Denver!!!!

Post by jstokes »

I just found out in the last week that my Fiancé was accepted to a college in Denver and I will be moving out there after I first graduate college this fall. If any of you have been out there are there any climbing area's that stand out among the ton of other ones?

Thats great news justin. Glad to hear your finally getting out of Ohio. Hopefully one day I will leave too. I don't think you will have much of a problem finding good rock.

This link is a great resource.

The climbing is great year round! There is definitely a lifetime of climbing there. If you want to go big go to RMNP, if you want slabs, cracks or offwidth go to South Platte, if you want something a little different go to Garden of the Gods, if you want hard limestone sport climbing go to Rifle, if you want variety go to Boulder Canyon, if you want two to five pitch classics go to Lumpy. The list goes on and on!

Oh ya forgot. I will be done with school and should probably get a job instead of climbing all the time. I will graduate as mechanical engineer and I know there is a few gear manufactures in Bolder, but does anyone know of any companies that manufacture climbing gear or any other outdoor gear around the Denver area.
Thanks TradeMike. I was at the Garden of the Gods about 10 years ago...i was 12 at the time and ever since then I knew I wanted to move out west.
