Merrick' s Climbing Pictures Weekly Update
I guess it’s the sick twisted part of me that enjoys a little pain and the feeling of complete physical exhaustion, but I enjoy the hikes in most the time. I guess it’s all relative to the experience your looking for. If you’re going out bouldering or working a hard sport route that requires all your energy to be focused on that single move then yeah a short approach helps. But if your plans revolve around an adventure/trad area then you have to take the good with the bad, and learn to enjoy the process as a whole. Plus it’s a great way to train..
Howdy folks,
It has been awhile but this gallery was worth the wait...
Hueco Tanks rocks. There is no doubt about it. Sure there is a ton of bureaucracy, it is expensive, and El Paso is a horrible city, but the climbing is so good it overshadows all of this. I had an incredible time in Hueco and I think I got some of the best climbing pictures I have ever taken there. I hope this gallery gives an impression of the intense motivation and incredible fun I had when I was there. I also hope it inspires you to go out and pull down.
Enjoy:

Also check out my gallery of a rest day we had at White Sands National Monument. They are more of falling pictures than climbing pictures but they are well worth checking out.
