Local gumby interested in climbing on some granite, prefer mix of moderate trad and bouldering with casual car camping scene if possible. Needs to be in southeast for weekend access, any suggestions?

Rumbling bald, except not a great camping scene.
The south face of the glass would be good, and you can car camp there. The dark side will be cold this time of year, but is nice in the summer.

South Face, Looking Glass......Rats Ass (5.8) ...Second Coming (5.7)
As close to Yosemite as your gonna find in the South.
And there are some boulder problems along the trail from the road.

man, if you get good weather go to the N. Side of the Glass. better lines with no lines on them.

Roll to the Bald with us next time. We had a great trip last weekend. I have only been bouldering there, but could be talked into roping up pretty easy.

Bring your rack, tons of mixed stuff there!
Just genuinely disengenuous.

Back to "the glass", anyone done the shorter aid routes, 5.8, C2 sounds like fun, cam hooks? time for this old fart to learn some new tricks.
