I am really coming this time...

Post by canadaclimbergirl »

Hey all,

I am coming to the RRG with my Beau for the week of March 1-6. We should arrive sometime on Feb 28 or 29.
I hope we have some good weather!
Will anyone be around that week and would anyone be willing to show us around and take us to some good spots?

We'll be camping at Miguels for sure.

Let me know the scoop!

Hey C,
I will definitely try to get together with you for at least a day or two! Just keep me appraised on when you are leaving, etc.

CCG - Since you're from up north then maybe climbing in the cold won't bother you too much but keep in mind Feb/March can be cold around here. It can range from teens to lower 40's so hopefully you'll get the latter.

Also, Miguel's isn't open yet so you won't get that much of a scene, if that's what you're looking for. Keep in mind that a four hour drive south will take you to Chattanooga, Tennessee where you can chose from several amazing climbing locations that tend to be a good 15 degrees warmer: Tennessee Wall, Little Rock City, Foster Falls, Obed, Rocktown, Sand Rock, HorsPens40...just to name a few.

So yea, come to the Red and, if the temps are up, you'll have a blast. But if it's in the teens/20's you may want to have a backup plan to head to any of the five star locations down south. T-Wall will rock your world for trad and that place is smokin' in the winter.
