i rate my gear according to kentons. the number of kentons it will hold is when it holds at least one pimp.

I have to agree, the only people that I have ever heard talk about numbers are the "know it all's" that want to impress others.

These people are the same ones who only care about how hard the climb is. When It comes down to it, it is the ability to place the gear that matters. Not how well you can figure out the amount of weight it holds.
