The best view in the red is on Fox Fire, from the party ledge, all the way to the top.

Are you kidding, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a nice view at the Red. Especially at sunset. One of the cool things about climbing though, is the process that gets you there puts you in a certain state that makes you much more attuned to the scenery. I liked the view from lizards dare, from the little cubby hole at the top. It was really cool because in addition to being a nice view, I was feeling not just happy to be alive, but relieved to be alive.

Here's another amazing view:

It was early in the morning, fog hanging in the valley, and this monster was about four feet away from me. When he would snort (contendedly, I'm glad to say) I could feel it in my chest.

Amen, Artsay, I forgot about that one. Might be one of the best routes in the red for view and exposure.

I agree w/ Slacker. The view from the top of Foxfire looks out over a beautiful bend in the Red river w/ out any roads of signs of man.

Can I throw-out a "hell-yeah" to this sentiment.
HELL-YEAH!!

I rather liked the view out of Purple Valley, Captian One-Eye or something like that. Then again the thrill of the fact that I actually did the climb may have pumped the endorphins and skewed my perception of reality.

Too many. The belay at the top of the second pitch of Jungle Beat. The ledge on Foxfire is right up there, so is Jewel Pinnacle, or Vector Trouble, or Eye of the Needle, or Cruising Lane/Goodstone.

What about Good Times?
