The official word on the purchase of The Murray Property
Shannon, thanks for your post, I think most of us are so anxious about this topic and itching to go climbing (seasonal blues) that we can't see the forest for the trees, forest being voluntary abstaining from the area, everyone chill and bring your body heat to Purple Valley or some place else for a while, Otay?
The oil company will continue towing cars until someone has the time and financial resources to take them to court. When (not if) that happens, a judge will be much more willing to rule in favor of the climbing community if climbers haven't aggravated the situation by continued use of the property before it reopens.
So if you climb their and you do get towed, you are complicating things in the legal arena because you have showed (in a judges eye) a willingness to mix it up with Charmane. Surely you can find something to climb elsewhere.

Well said Sandy - but I think these topics are unfortunately never exhausted in the minds of some. Talk is cheap - there has to be action. This thread means absolutely nothing if no actual positive action comes from it.
But I'm with you....pull the sheet.
