Bouldering- North Carolina

Post by bberlier »

Going to Rumbling Bald in November! :D
I was wondering if anybody has spent some time there and how they would rate it to other eastern bouldering spots.

I've been there but didn't have a crash pad so was very limited. Many of the problems are pretty high. There are the coolest flat edges there you'll ever see.

It's the craziest thing and I didn't believe it at first.
I was climbing this chimney near Shredded Wheat and noticed I heard a waterfall but there was not one in site. The waterfall is actually *inside* the cliffline! That is the rumble.

/me bald!!!!!

some of the best bouldering i've ever seen. There is lots of tall stuff and crash pads are definately reccommended. Beats the crap out of Boone bouldering IMO.
