I went through a Public Enemy revival recently.

And I feel a Beastie Boys session coming on.

But Eminem is crap. Nothing but a mediocre actor and the best promotional teams in the world.

The new Outkast is kick ass, btw.

Eminem is probably just as talented of a lyricist as Rakim, Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. Outkast is cool for good beats and not very thoughtful lyrics.

Obie Trice impresses me with his offbeat style. I haven't heard anyone able to rap offbeat like him since Sillk the Shocker. Eminem produced the album of his Cheers and it is probably the best album I've heard in a long time.

Resurrection is a cool album. I like the last song with 50 Cent.

Yea, 2 is pretty damn good too. The one where Eminem raps is pretty damn cool.
You definitely have to check out Cheers man. It is so damn good.

I dunno. I was doing sound in New Orleans when that whole bounce/No Limit thing was starting up and I remain unimpressed. The beats are boring and uninventive and the raps are the same, stupid bullshit over and over. "Yo, I pop a cap on yore ass." Yeah, yeah. Whatever.

The first time I saw Eminem I thought I was watching an amateur show and expected him to get gonged at any moment. He's horrible.

There is a great mix of Eminem with an Orb song that is pretty funny but he's still a whiney punk.

As far as rap goes, I prefer stuff like Arrested Development, Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, Beasties, NWA, Public Enemy, Outkast, L.L. Cool J., Busta Rhymes... ok, so I'm showing my age. I really haven't heard much in the last couple of years that rang true to me.

Then again, I'm an elitist music snob so don't sweat it.
