Stupid Freshman...!!!

Post by andy_lemon »

Man, I signed up for this CIS class... it's like a total push for me (everyone can use some GPA padding). The class covers the Windows operating system. Why I signed up for this stupid thing is beyond me. Anyhow, all these idiots are mostly Fresman. We walk into class today and the professor says "who has there books?" and there were like only 3 people that raised there hands, me included. There are 30 some-od people in this class!!!? So here I sit, waiting for all these freshman to return to class from the bookstore so we can get started. Jeeesh... I wonder if I was that dumb when I was a freshman?
Not a bitch.

no one buys there books before classes start. it helps in case there is a different request by the professor, no returning books.

Parting with "INSANE" amounts of $$ for books is hard to do (I just dropped $185 last night for 1 bio book, and a slew of chem lab and bio lab manuals, etc, plus the killer deal I got on Amazon for a chem book...$57 shipped vs. $134). Maybe the freshman are paying for their books, maybe not and maybe, like Aaron said, the profs might change the text last minute. Or, maybe they're just lazy. Sure, there are principles about it, but, in this case, you said yourself you're taking the class because it'll be easy, so missing 30 minutes of class the FIRST DAY won't hurt your learning. :)

On a side note, it's odd being back in school 4.5 years after I graduated with my BSME, taking notes, sitting in the front f^*king row, because I don't want to fall into bad habbits of my freshman/sophomore years....and then there are all the young, nubile ladies...

THERE = referring to a place, as in: "look over there"
THEIR = referring to ownership, as in: "no one has their book"
THEY'RE = a contraction meaning They are, as in: "they're coming to the bookstore."

So, to put it all together: "Look over THERE at those freshmen, none of them have THEIR textbooks, but I don't understand the difference between three completely different words, so maybe THEY'RE not as stupid as I think."

See posts above for further examples.

On another note, I am fairly sure I'm stupid... and i like the word nubile a lot.

btw... they're letting me teach classes at EKU now! LOL!
