dirt has quite a valid point.... pointing out the silliness of these posts are really fun cuz when the shit hits the fan people go on critisizing the value of your threads... so i like it when someone points out how very lame indeed some of the mainstay posters can get.

where is the sandstress by the way?
...well, i can only climb about a 5.10. but i can belay a 5.14c like you wouldn't believe!!

Yeah, I guess if things like linguistic nuance are too difficult for you then it's best to point out the fact you have no fucking idea what is being discussed. "Huh huh, that's STUPID, huh huh." Niggling over grammar is in the same vein as niggling over nut v. cam. It's just that some of us actually enjoy understanding how language works. Or perhaps it's just that some of us actually have some brain left to use.

We all use English to communicate just like we all use cars to get around in. The big difference is we each build our sentences from scratch every time we speak (or type). If you scoffers had to build a car every time you drove and you had as little understanding of it as you do the workings of our language you'd never get out of your driveway and the world would be a better place. The real worry would be when some of you did manage to get on the highway and your wheels fell off. I hate it when that happens.

Mistakes are one thing, the complete inability to do it right in the first place is another.

Ynot: Your mamma cared.

"I caaaaaaare! OH! I caaaaaaaaare!!!" she moaned beneath me.

j/k

Anyway, I wasn't talking to you since you don't care. I was talking to someone who cared. Are you talkin' to me?!? I don't see anyone else here, so you must be talkin' to me.

This thread has a lot of grammatical crap in it. Pay attention.

And lets keep Michael Jackson out of this. We don't want to get banned.
