dirt the infamous! of course i can help ya out!
the original words are of course BRANDY not sandy... and the artist would be LOOKING GLASS.

and here is my belated x-mas gift to you buddy:

Theres a port on a western bay
and it serves a hundred ships a day
lonely sailors pass the time away
and talk about their homes

and there's a girl in this harbor town
who works lay'n whiskey down
and they say "brandy fetch another round"
she serves them whiskey and wine

(chorus) the sailors say brandy
youre a fine girl
what a good wife you would be
yeah youre eyes could steal a sailor from the sea
(do dooda dodo do dooda dodo)

brandy wears a braided chain
made of finest silver from the north of spain
and a locket that bears the name of the man that brandy loves

he came on a summers day
bring'n gifts from far away
but he made it clear he couldnt stay
no harbor was his home

the sailor said brandy
youre a fine girl what a good wife you would be
but my life my love and my lady is the sea.
do dooda dodo doo dooda dodo

yeah brandy used to watch his eyes as he told his sailor stories
she could feel the ocean foam arise
she saw its rage'n glory
but he had always told the truth lord he was an honest man
and brandy does her bets to understand.
(dooda dit dooda dit dooda dit dooda dit)

at night when the bars close down
brandy walks through a silent town
and loves a man whos not around
she still can hear him say

She hears him say " brandy, youre a fine girl" ( such a fine girl)
what a good wife you would be ( such a fine girl) but my life my love and my lady is the sea
dooda dit dooda dit dooda dit dooda dit

Wow. It's one hit wonder time here on the RRG Boreds! [sic]

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that song at the roller rink as a pre-pube.

From "What Would Journey Do":

Alice loves her boyfriend, Sam, deeply. They've shared long conversations, walks on the beach, romantic dinners by candlelight. But now Sam is pressuring her to have sexual relations with him, and Alice doesn't know what to do. She doesn't feel comfortable having sex before marriage, and someone has told her that Journey thinks it's wrong.

At many points in the Albums, Journey speaks out strenuously on this subject. And their message is always the same: "Any way you want it -- that's the way you need it." False prophets who tell you otherwise are leading you astray. Do not pay them heed.

The most striking passage on the topic comes from Departure 1, 0:50: "I was alone -- I never knew -- what good love could do. Then we touched, and we sang, about the lovin' things! All night, all night -- oh, every night!"

Devotional meditation: Do I love to move? Do I love to groove? Do I love the lovin' things?
