I'll show off my dorkyness again here 100 proof http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0124268/
I've lived near the Hidaway for almost 7 years, counting the 4 at Transyland, and every time I've gone by it, it just seems a little too shady for me. Plus I hate smokey bars and that screams smokey bars.

Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.
that little bar seems to have some neighborhood regulars, and it is a tough little neighborhood. Another tough little bar is one across the Continental, its the kinda place you go to drink. no smiling, no conversation, just a couple of old men hunched over their sour mash not interested in making any new friends.
and does anyone remember the Shack on National Avenue? It finally closed down after a nephew and a cousin brutally kicked their uncle to death on the street in front. I always had a good time there, though. I think it reopened (and closed again) as the Bullseye on Winchester...
maybe I shouldnt tell my bar history so clearly

Never been to the shack, but I do know a guy that used to hang there. From what I know it was a bad biker bar that was closed once cause people were routinely shooting glocks inside. A slug got through the cinder blocks and flew outside so the cops came.
I've been working hard at avoiding all things Continental since I was in college. Now that's a scary crowd with lots of potential for disaster.
Maybe I've been (drinking) in this town too long.
