Rifle's a pile...I did everything there and it all sucked. But I still can't do Fine Nine at Jackson....when I get strong enough that thing is going down!

fine nine is better than table of colors for sure..or wild gift...or roadside attraction..

I laugh every time I hear someone talk about getting on fine nine, or when I actually see people on that thing...that is perhaps the lamest bolted line ever...and it is freaking hard for the grade...

lol..true enough....

so rhunt comes to Jackson and warms up on this 5.9 route..as he is lowering, he states "this has got to be the easiest bolted line ever"...

standing on the ground is my boss, (also a climber and in his late 50's), who looks back up at rhunt and states "thanks alot, I happen to be working on redpointing that line"...

talk about someone's face turning red...

"Worshiping the earth is more fun than going to church. It's also closer. We can just step off the sidewalk. And sometimes we can get impressionable members of the opposite sex to perform sacramental rites with us. 'Every drop of water wasted is a drop less of a wild and scenic river, Jennifer. We'd better double up in the shower'." -- P.J. O'Rourke, All the trouble in the world. The lighter side of famine, pestilence, destruction and death.

Saw this and just thought I would add it to this thread. Coffee+chocolate+more coffee+boring night at work=lots of web surfing - lucky you.

Answering my question earlier in this post, I found out that one of the RQ regulars is a pastor. So I guess he would be a religious climber and also proof that going to church on Sunday is not incompatible with the climbing life?
