Thinking about getting one to use mainly when I am working out, and jogging-bike riding.
Anyone have one that thinks they were a waste of money?
Anyone have one who couldn't live without it?
Just want some input before I decide.
The particular one I am interested in is http://www.tdk.com/cdmp3/mojo256f.html.
The one drawback I see is the menu. Seems like you have to advance through your music song by song.
I Do like the size for what I intend to use it for. I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere. I just put the link up to tdks site.
Any input??
MP3 Players
My brother has one he can't live without - its real simple, but has a large memory...not sure exactly which on it is...it's a smaller one - Rio I am sure is the brand. It shows the name and song info but it's not like the iPods that have a huge interface. Dell has come out with their answer to the iPod now...I heard really good things about it from someone who has one, but I have not really seen it or read much about it yet.
Also - for really really kickass deals...go to www.overstock.com
everything is usually 30% to 80% off...can find some really good stuff usually.
Good luck, let me know what you get, I am in the market for one as well, kinda hoping Santa brings me one for Christmas though!!

Thanks for all the input...Keep it coming!
Mike,
What do you think about http://www.nomadworld.com/products/muvo_nx/ ?
Seems similar to the TDK but no FM (how good is the reception on such a small player anyhow?).
The really small size of this one seems like a plus to me.

The flat out winner in useability and interface design is the iPod. The downsides are, of course, the price and the so-so battery life. Also, you need either a Firewire (1394) or a USB2 port on your computer. Look around for refurbished models - it's a neat trick to need more than 10GB (!) of storage, so the older models will work just fine.

I have the Rio Nike and it's perfect. I've treadwalled, treadmilled, lifted and ran with it and never had any problems. It's extremely light and very durable. I've dropped it many times.

I have a friend that mountain bikes and he swears by one of the Nike ones...says he's landed on top of it after being thrown from his bike and it still works great...I know they sell it at Best Buy. I've also seen a couple people at CT Cincy using them...wish Santa would bring me one too.
