Don't worry about DHoyne, if I couldn't get him out to climb with me during Thanksgiving week, I doubt he'll be there anytime soon for gate removal.

Still, it's a good point, Gretchen and Rhino.

A big THANK YOU, shout out is due to everyone who made this possible.
First to the Murrays. Next to the RRGCC and associates.
Finally to all the climbers who donated.

I'm probably forgetting some people. But, I'm sure they know who they are and won't take it personally.

Wow. I'm kinda all jittery about this!

THANKS!!!!!!!!!

That's the best news I've heard in a long time. Got to sample all the crags in question for the first time in October and was blown away with the quality of the climbing and beauty of the areas. I would like to extend my thanks to the hard working proactive Übercool folks who started this gigantic effort! Proud to be a member of the RRGCC even though I haven't really done anything yet besides $ donation. Can't wait to return with the gates and uncertainty removed to "our" crag!
Thanks for making my day

I just found out that a guy that works for me is Mattie Murray's grandson. He said he knew she owned some land in Lee county but didn't realize there were any climbing areas on it or that it was being sold.

No, he's never climbed. I showed him the Murray Project and RRGCC websites so he could see what was involved.
