Much of what you say is thoughtful and I agree with a some of it but I was just kidding. Sorry it was a mean statement.

I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.

Oh, no, Christian, you hit the nail on the head, there. Bisexuals see the human population as nothing but choices. Just because I'm limited to only half the world, because I don't want anything to do with a guy's naked, hairy ass (or shaved), doesn't mean everyone ELSE should be.

nice try rainman, but we all know that doesn't work in the real world...
if I am a racist, spewing forth garbage, but not actually "hurting" anyone (under your definition), I would expect my actions to become the "business' of concerned people everywhere. The whole "its none of my business if it doesn't affect me directly" is not a viable choice.
If I see a government or individual oppressing its people thru low wages, poor working conditions, sexual exploitation, slavery, etc, then it IS my business to stand up to these elements.
Granted, sexual behavior does not fall into the same category as what I just mentioned, but a blanket statement of "it is none of my business" is shallow. If consenting minors have sex with adults, why do we prosecute the adults?
Opinions do matter, whether large or small...how do you think laws and governing rules are established..a collection of opinions.
You completely overlooked the fundemental principle of my remarks, pig, that one's actions do not directly and adversly affect another. I am talking exclusively about individual, personal and private actions, here, not government policy, exploitation, direct oppresion, etc. Opinions DON'T matter. Actions against others based on the opinions matter.
Why do adults get prosecuted for having "relations" with consenting minors, and not the minors? Because of the same ass-backwards "do what I tell you" mentality that says a person is an adult when they turn 18 and can elect "officials", fight and die in the service of his/her country, etc, but cannot consume alcohol. Yes, there is a great deal of intellectual developement that takes place during early life, because everything is new and experience is a good teacher. A 28 yr old can "date" an 18 yr old and all they get are querying eyes, but make that 18 yr old 17 and it's a crime. I understand psychologists probably had a major hand in determining at what age a person is OFFICIALLY capable of making decisions about their own life, but those are also generalizations and averages, and, as we all know, each individual should be treated as such.
The legality of many acts is arbitrary and based on the "mood" of society and politicians (both, again, deciding what people SHOULD do privately based on what THEY do) at that point in time (i.e. prohibition, legal marrying age, gay marraige, sodomy (man-man or man-woman..the list goes on). Don't mention rape, murder, robbery, etc, because those are all actions of one person ON another, and therefore do apply to the current discussion. Laws initially were created exclusively to protect the citizens in a given group. Somewhere along the line those making/enforcing the laws realized the scope of the power given to them and began to create laws that in no way protected one person from the aggressions of another, but rather imposed thier personal restrictions on the masses. THOSE are the people I hate. Protect people from each other, not from themselves.

There are actually guys that shave their ass? Sure, bodybuilders, that is their profession so they have an excuse... but can anything be more "bisexual" then shaving your own ass?
Christian wrote:My head hurts. Do y'all really want to have a serious discussion about all this stuff.
I can't.
You're right, Christian, this is a climbing forum, and while diversions are entertaining, detailed discussions cannot be held with any degree of seriousness, particularly when they don't pertain directly to climbing.
So, in the spirit of the original post....
I hate asshole "country" drivers who cross the double yellow doing 55 mph on 2-lane winding roads.
A few weeks ago a guy where I work was in a head-on collision with some woman (and her kids), because she was in his lane coming around a turn. Said guy was driving a Ram2500, so he was fine. The woman was not seriously injured, nor were her kids. When I'm on my sportbike, I could easily be killed by one of these mental-midgets, because they think the road ACTUALLY belongs to them since they drive them every day.

I too will defer to the climbing spirit on this one..but thanks for the fun debate. I never take it as a serious forum..just a meeting of miniature minds...
I hate filling up my gas tank, and running over by a penny or two...
