Shoes
I'm thinking of getting the same shoes this week. How did you size them? How do you think they compare to 5.10 Anasazi Velco's? I've seen both at similar prices (just under $100 from sportextreme.com). If you can find for $70 let me know where!!!!!
Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

I currently have both of these shoes and I really like the velcros more. I've worn them both for bouldering and sport climbing and they perform pretty equally for me. I have to admit that like easy on/off of the velcros is a nice plus, but even if that wasn't the case (I also have the Anasazi lace-ups) I would still pick the velcros based on the stealth rubber. How do you think they compare to 5.10 Anasazi Velco's?

I love my Miuras for all kinds of climbing (except multi-pitch - ow!). They are lined and don't stretch much, but I made the mistake of getting them in my street shoe size. I'd go down a full size on those.
Any Miura wearers out there use Katanas, too? I'm thinking of trying them for bouldering. My Cobras peel off with heel hooking sometimes and the replacement shoe (coming out in February) has some funky rubber mesh over the top of the shoe. How did you size your Katanas relative to your Miuras?

I have owned several pairs of Miuras and also several pairs of Anasazi velcro. Sportiva & 5.10 definitely size differently. My Anasazi's are 42 European and my Miura's are 40 European. The Anasazi is synthetic leather and will not stretch. I like the Anasazi's for bouldering. The Miura's are canvas lined and will stretch very little. I use them as an all-around shoe. I have known a number of people that have switched from the Miura to the Katana & like them. My latest pair of Anasazi's are worn out and I am looking to replace them. I am thinking about switching to another velcro shoe or to a slip on. Still I really like the 5.10 brand. One way to know a good shoe is to see how many top climbers are wearing them in mag pics. You sure see a lot of Miura's in pics. A smattering of various 5.10 shoes also.
