i will give you the fact that some people do take the trolls seriously, but most don't. and i also give you the fact that most people find the fact that some people take trolls seriously as really funny. but most are not recieving sadistic pleasure from it.
i used the word play acting, not you. i feel it is the best fit word to describe the nature of people's interactions when they are participating in some silly drama on the internet. I also used the quotes exactly how i intended them, despite what the chicago manual of style says.
As for your wacky pseudo western philosophy...most "actions" are not real. of course both of our statements mean nothing without defining what 'real' is. I come from the school of thought where man cannot actually see anything real. everything we see is our brains perceptions of something our senses are absorbing. and our sense are reacting to mollecular interactions.
but you are not taking about reality in that sense. you are taking about it in a causal sense between two rational actors. the same model follows for societal interactions. most 'actions' are misunderstood and often by those who make them. everyone is a hippocrite becuase everyone acts without thinking sometimes. the important aspect to understand is that verbal actions are essentially one rational actor attempting to communicate with another rational actor. unless both rational actors have the same backgrounds and the same models to contextualize the communication in, the communication will be misunderstood. thus the recieving actor is left only with the perception of what the speaking actor said. that perception is flawed and thus not real.

Merrick, you think I am actually pissed off?????????? man you dont know me to well. I feel the same way you do about the whole thing. I laugh at every little insult thrown at me and i laugh just as much at every stupid pathetic thing i say. It seems that most everyone else is taking SHM more seriously because they just post a few times and leave it at that. its so much more fun when an arguement or name bashing is long and drawn out over a period of time. Another thing, people on here cant take anything seriously from me, cause I know alot of you and alot of you knwo me. I would never want to make enemies with anyone at the red.
