Why trad just might be better than sport
Okay dude, I'll give you whatever you want. I'm not afraid to let you warm up on my projects. It's not like the crack is going to disappear after you climb it. Don't expect to hike them though. Being able to onsite Convicted and Paranoia doesn't do much when you're faced with a 6" overhanging crack without a crimp in sight.stronghandman wrote:I still need a few high end ticks to fill my trad tick list. I figured the trad climbs were as soft as the sport. That will make my sponsers proud. Its a game that has to be played sometimes. Climbing is in my heart as deep as anyone here. Sometimes you have to slum to pay the bills. So I figured this Ray guy I hear everyone talking about can take me around to his projects and let me warm up. Then the Red can awaken and explode.
I can't wait to see you shuffle and scrape your body to hell. You're going to look like Frank from Hellraiser when my cracks are finished with you.
Yo Ray jack dynomite! Listen to my beat box! Bew ch ch pff BEW ch ch pfff! Sweet!

Dude did you forget who you are dealing with. Im not a Red River Gorge sport climbing wanker. I was climbing wide shit before you bought your first harness. Dont threaten me with your petty movie posters. I was going to let you keep a couple of your projects so you could keep impressing your flock of sheep. The only spanking you will do on me is my meat.

OK, sorry I'm not too quick on picking up on who someone is from their screen name or posts, etc. Apparently some of you know who SHM is. Is he for real? If he is, SCIN, maybee you need to point him towards a particular trad route that has never been repeated before you take him to your projects. There, of course, would have to be good documentation of the ascent along with the proper homage if the ascent is reported in any mags.

They have no idea captain, and no way to know that I can think of. I have meet a few RRG locals along the way, and that was back in the day. But no one on here really knows me on a personal basis. When I was up there playing on the Reds warm-ups I ran into this cat named Ray. We got to talking and he told me about this site and a few projects he needed some help on. Other than that everyone else is just hoping on the bandwagon. Im used to drawing a crowd wherever I go, it gets old, but everyone needs someone to look up to.

As you can tell from my signature, I have been around before "back in the day". From your last post I am assuming you are a well known climber who wishes to remain anonymous. And the way people have been jumping on you, I don't blame you. I expect that if they knew who you were, they would probably be embarrassed? I'm resisting the temptation to start guessing. You probably wouldn't say if I guessed right.
Check your PM's about the route I was offhandedly refering to in my previous post.
