What an awsome route. I am 5'8" and was able to do that move. Use that goofy undercling with your right and reach up with your left, match, then head left.

There is a goofy no hands rest right at the break between slab and steep sections.

That pitons adds character. Leave it.

I finally did this thing this past weekend and I have to spray b/c it really is one of the coolest routes around. You've got slab, steep jugs & sidepulls, a roof to pull, and an arete to finish...AWESOME!

It looks like it is getting a lot of traffic lately too by the amount of chalk on it. I would climb this thing again and again.

Also it is in the shade all afternoon as is Gameboy and that entire wall. ...in case anyone was wondering the tree that was hanging down over the top of Gameboy...it's gone :D
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

hmm i didn't realize there was already a thread on this. so as i said before:

in my honest opinion, The Gift is not 11d. that thing is really hard and way harder if you are short. and if anyone has short person beta let me know, cause trying to pull off that crimp seemed like v7 to me.

saw both HF and Tony send it this week though. mad props.
i know if you are 5'4 with an aveage ape index you can not make the reach at the bulge. too bad.

I agree merrick, that thing has some sick moves on it.
Something I just don't have in my bag of tricks yet.
