Route Maintenance??
My wife and I are now living in the Red and will obviously be climbing here all the time. So as to not be a total bottom feeder, we have already done a little bit of trail and road maintenance. However, we have and will continue to come across route maintenance issues, mainly loose, bad or rusty hardware. I would be more than happy to fix any of these issues, but I do not want to step on any toes or do anything that does not fit within the local norms for the area (bolt types, ethics, etc...). So, my question is, who shall I contact in regard to such maintenance issues? Thanks for the info and very glad to be a part of the community!

Welcome! Thanks for giving back and making an effort to be a contributing member of the community.
I'm not the authority on route maintenance, so hopefully someone will chime in who can speak to this better than I. There are lots of properties and therefore property owners here so at the risk of spreading mis-information, my understanding is that you are encouraged to do the following:
- tighten any spinners you encounter
- yank mank gear
- carry quick links with you, leave as needed when an anchor needs it
- report route issues here (on the page of the route) but also report it to badbolts.com

Thanks for the response! I would be happy to help out in any way I can. I do have bolting experience(&30+ yrs. climbing) however, I have never rebolted. I'm sure there are do's, don'ts and tips that I need to learn. Let me know when the event is and I'll see ya there!
