It sounds like you were talking about free soloing. I solo every few months, but I use a soloist. Sometimes it's cool to do your own thing and be more self-reliant.

TK, when someone else mentioned that you soloed Creature Feature, my first thought was that it would have been cool to watch. Immediately after I realized that it would be far too stressful to watch, because I would be worried about you (or anyone) doing this.

More power to you I guess if you want to solo, but I think it's a ridiculous risk. You also put anyone in the vicinity in the position of potentially being involved in a rescue or even worse, witnessing your death should the worst happen. I think it's selfish to be perfectly frank, since you asked.

If someone starts free soloing at a crag where I'm climbing, I'm pack up my stuff and leave. I have seen what a 60 foot fall does to the human boday and it ain't pretty.
