Partner 7/23 or 7/24

Post by BostonHammock »

Looking for a trad partner for this weekend. Have rope/rack.

I'm a newer trad leader, looking to get on up to 5.7 right now. I'm currently thinking Pistol Ridge or Lower Small Wall, but open to suggestions.

Willing to follow harder routes. The most difficult I've followed so far is Andromeda Strain.

I wouldn't recommend Lower Small Wall for a beginning leader. You're probably looking at Good Tang which has some moves in the 5.9 range. Expect Larry Day routes to be stiff for the grade. Pistol Ridge gets shade until mid-afternoon: Refrigerator and Bitchmobile are good. If you can't find a partner for 7/23, come join the trail day. Meeting at Lago Linda's 9:00am. Happy climbing!

Diamond in the crack, Roadside attraction, Cheaper than a movie, and party time are all great.

Thanks for the advice rex, I was going to play Good Tang by ear: I know it's a bit stiff for the grade. Still looking at Leftout, Double Caves, and possibly Delirium Tremors

mark, yup, been on all of those except CTAM. Great routes!
