lost rope at deep end

Post by GregW »

Did anyone pick up a rope from the deep end? We forgot it there the other day, went back for it and it was gone.
Thanks,

I guess lost is the wrong term. My kids were climbing at the other end of the crag and we packed up in the near dark. So we forgot it below the route Half Mast. The next day was a rest day so we didn't realize we didn't have it until the following day. When I went back up there it was gone. Since its been 2 days without hearing anything and my name and phone number was written inside the rope bag I'm assuming some good Samaritan assumed my stupidity was their gain.

Worth checking at Miguel's. I personally wouldn't have unpacked someone's left-behind-at-the-crag rope bag to see if there was a name written on the inside. It just wouldn't have crossed my mind, because most people I know do not mark their rope bag on the inside of the bag. Most people don't mark it at all, and a few who do, usually do it on the outside.
