WFA/CPR at LOTA September 26th & 27th

RedMed, LLC is holding a Wilderness First Aid class with optional CPR course at LOTA on the weekend of Sept. 26th. This two day, 16-hour class will result in certification from the University of Utah School of Medicine/Wilderness Medical Society. Topics and skills covered will include:

Patient assessment
Bleeding control
Wound management
Splinting
Improvised lifting and carrying devices
Evacuation considerations
Environmental emergencies
Bites, stings & envenomations
Stocking medical kits
..and more!

$180 includes a textbook and certification through the University of Utah School of Medicine. Class will meet September 26th and 27th from 8:00 to 5:00 each day.

You may also register for a supplemental CPR/AED class, to be held 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the evening of September 25th. This 3-hour class will cover:

Recognition of cardiac arrest
Chest compressions and airway management
Usage of AED’s
Recognition and treatment of choking and strokes.
$60 includes a textbook and certification through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI).

David is an awesome instructor, this is an excellent course for those wishing to learn more about wilderness medicine. Whether you need the certification for a job like guiding or just want to be able to have the knowledge to help those in need, take this course. You won't regret it! Not to mention it's offered at a great price.
