Since you have no idea who you'd get or what they actually know until its too late, get a guide. Maybe plan another trip w/o the kids so you can learn properly and safely. Seen too many people "taught" by people who were just "taught" themselves. That's good you've read up but certified teaching in person, not off YouTube (since anyone can post there) is worth it. But hey, it's your life and safety so whatever. I just don't want to see blood on anymore crag bases or unsafe shit that someone got taught by joe blow. Be smart and be safe. The cost of stupidity is a little higher out here.
