Looking for sport climbing partner
Looking for sport climbing partner
I started climbing in august of 2014. I climb at the gym at least 4 times a week. I have climbed at the red 8-10 times. Looking to be at the gorge just about every weekend (as long as the weather is good). As of now I can climb 5.10's. I am willing to belay for anything.

I would ask people at the gym to see who's going do the gorge and tag along with them. That's the best way to meet people. You can also hang out at Miguels.TyTurner wrote:I started climbing in august of 2014. I climb at the gym at least 4 times a week. I have climbed at the red 8-10 times. Another way is volunteer for RRGCC Trail days and meet people that way http://rrgcc.org/upcoming-trail-days/
The red river reunion is coming up at Miguels on the 28th - I'm sure they will have lots of people that weekend and I bet you will have a good chance of finding a partner then

congratulations to the wizards of the new 'social media' economy. a guy reaches out online and gets no responses except one directing him to event where he can meet people. this is genius, and worth a fucking fortune.

My wife and I will be passing through slade april 10-12th on our way home from a weding. Most likely climb all day on the 11th. I am comfortable leading and lead belaying but my wife is not. Very much looking to team up with someone for some sport climbing. Can lead up into the 5.10s (11s possibly on a good day)
Re: Looking for sport climbing partner
there've been quite a few time specific posts and i haven't kept track.
middle aged but still alive. if weather is good probably the first week of april and would love to spend a few days 'off piste' in the woods off the end of new virginia road finding trad lines (noted mostly for people like the guy wanting to camp near FRC), the rest of the week name checking 10's and, hopefully, 11's.
