Just like spring skiing, got to hit it while it is good. Corn snow in the AM then cement in the afternoon. The upside to warm is the ice is plastic and doesn't explode and dinner plates don't go flying as much. Down side here anyway is having seen the blocks on the ground after a melt and wanting to avoid being attached to one when it cuts loose. Several years ago Rick let us TR the frozen waterfall up Rebel Branch and I have never seen Torrent Falls or anything look so cool. You probably have friends as an option for trying it out given the growth of the climbing community, but if not go for I anyway. Andy Petefish in Ouray for guiding is a good option.
