Joe Bowen, local cycling legend, is hosting a trail half marathon in the RRG this coming September 6. It is not the Sheltowee Challenge that was held this past year.
He's calling it The Rugged Red. http://www.ruggedred.com/
And as far as I know the Sheltowee Challenge will be held again this year and it benefits the Sheltowee Trace Association. If you're up for a 50k trail run along the Sheltowee Trace through the RRG then you really shouldn't miss it either. I think it was in October.
