If this is the current status of our fund raising then we have some work to do. I am offering up a fund raising challenge. If the thermometer breaks $27,200 by 12pm on Wednesday 12/10/2014 I will match the pot with $500 of my own.

It's more than I would ordinarily go for, but an extra 35 G's would go a long way. The red is super important to me, and worth it. Besides, it aint shit compared to the time and effort the coalition has put into getting this sort of grant organized, not to mention the time and hardware from the developers, and the lowly intern who has hit the ground at full sprint. I'd like to see their efforts come to fruition.

J-Ru: Re: the thermometer: I've got it automatically updating with each one-time PayPal donation, and have a manually updated variable that stores the amount pulled in by other means (i.e. Rocktoberfest, the Rockhouse dance party, the upcoming Skybridge Station Ben Sollee / Jason Burton event). As soon as I get an official total from the Friday night after Thanksgiving, I'll update with that, too.
