A buddy of mine led Creature and Pouge's on gear, funny stuff watching people watch him pull that roof without clipping the bolt. It was realy funny when his nut that he placed right after the roof fell out. Maybe the funniest part of the whole thing was the e-mail response from Kevin Pouge.
Climbing is fun, sometimes the stories around climbing are the best part.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
in the midst....
We made the trip up from the Atl and had a blast. Didn't think the crowds were too bad, just had to climb the right routes I guess. In 2 days we hit 4 areas, starting with Roadside (Stay, Ro, Scissors, Awol, all damn good) then moved over to Oil Crack. After getting a little lost (first time back there in the S. Region) we got oriented and did Persian Gulf, the 9 beside that, Blue Plate Special and Crazy game. All in all a good day of climbing. Good food and good times at Rocktoberfest followed, I was pleasantly suprised at how much money was raised during the route auction, very cool. Odub and Jb rounded out the night quite nicely. Spent the night at Lago Linda and woke up to a good homestyle breakfast. Sunday we went to the arena and did the steep pocket routes (the 4 that are all together), all kller and great warmups before heading over to the 'lode. Great weekend, just wish the red was a little closer to Atlanta.

Matt was spotted saturday sending some hards cracks. It amazes me what that guy can do. The Shot (of tequila) Heard Around the World was enough to impress me, but to also push through the next mornings hangover and still climb - that is fricken amazin'!
