Swap dog care days sometime between Oct 16-26?

Post by nomadian »

We will be at the RRG from approx. October 16-26 and will have our dog with us. We were looking for someone else who will be climbing in the area that would want to swap some day(s) watching each other's dog to allow the other party some days at Muir.

let me know if you're interested!

I believe there is a fenced in area at Fincastle Campground..
It is designed to house dogs while their owners climb for the day..
They are right down the gravel road from the Muir Valley parking lot.

Their phone number is 606-545-8117. Good Luck!!

Coming in October? Sounds like enough time to plan on leaving Fido at home... Dogs aren't welcomed at the crags. Just because a few privately-owned lands outwardly say that dogs aren't allowed, doesn't mean that the lack of the rule implies the opposite elsewhere. I can assure you that NO ONE else loves your dog like you do. And I can also assure you that NO ONE else wants to deal with your dog. Leave him at home.

Seriously, leave him at home. If I run into him you can be assured Fido will find a boot to the head.

I carry a piece of old rope and my bag and have offered it to the people with the annoying dog that is not leashed and say "Hey, I noticed you forgot your leash lucky for you I carry an extra."
