Saw these in pools of water in the gravel road on the way out to Infirmary. Unfortunately someone drove through them later in the day and obliterated everything, but they were pretty neat. For scale, the sizes the egg sacs in the second image were somewhere between a marble and a grape. Neat how the first one winds up like a telephone cord in the water.
What laid these?
Re: What laid these?
Lots of frogs in those pools

Probably a salamander. spotted orange variety
Deckard: [presents scale for examination] Fish?
Cambodian lady: [examines scale with microscope] I think it was manufactured locally... finest quality... superior workmanship. There is a maker's serial number... 9-9-0-6-9-4-7-X-B-7-1. Interesting. *Not* fish. *Snake* scale!

Once, on the short hike to Tight Hollow, Frank Becker and I noticed masses of amphibian eggs in a farm pond. There were also newts in the pond and they were gorging on the eggs.
