Wow...people actually talking about climbing on a climbing bbs...imagine that?

Yesterday I made it back to Global Village and climbed Eureka (Great climb..I see why so many people have checked it off on the spray list), KY Pinstripe...thought it was OK just that one move at the roof between bolts one and two :? , then did Father & Son, nice mellow crack followed, by a little crazyness on Seeker...bizzare arete that no one ever does..thought provoking climb! It was a little on the warm side to say the least but it was a good day. Already thinking about where to go and what to climb this coming weekend.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

Oh and I took my first fall onto trad gear on Jim's Dihedral. It shook me up more than I realized right away, but I'm glad it happened, especially since I didn't see it coming at all. There's one less pebble to edge on at the bottom of that thing now. :P

My virgin ears!
It's so cool to hear sporties talking trad in the sport forum.

I love all these sporties turning trad! And traddies clipping bolts, too!! It's all so good. Yes, Wes, even boldering.

Sorry ynot - someone really should moderate me.

Damn! I knew I should have taken that class! Maybe I too could solo Creature Feature ... and on a hangover. Oh wait, that wasn't you was it?
I didn't take the class. Christian took the class. Me and Roger went off on our own and climbed. Then around noon we went back over and hung out with them and did a few routes. They (Arno and Rog) are good people, fun to climb with.

On the Creature Feature climb, I was recruited as the head photographer for redriverclimbing.com, I am always the photographer, when is someone going to take a picture of me? Ask T.K. how many pics he got off of me on Creature Feature...?!
Not a bitch.

Solo'd Creature Feature...

I have a friend that has climbed Creature Feature at least 50 times. It's old hat to him. I've seen him do it in:
hiking boots
barefoot
one bare foot/one in a hiking boot
while opening a beer on the route and drinking it on the route
hands only from the lip on up
while wearing hockey gloves (he said this was the most difficult)
and on Sunday he did it while wearing rollerblades

He's also soloed it numerous times. I think it's just a classic which he wants to see just how bizarrely he can do it. I suggested that he wear a french maid outfit and stiletto heels. He's taking it into consideration. As far as how he got down when he soloed it, he just down climbed it. Made it look easy. Bastard.

Pictures?? Then you must share.

Creature Feature is my favorite route ... maybe I should follow your friend's trend to see how many funky ways I can climb it.

Only thing I have which would be close to "pictures" is is Memorial Day when we were there he did a "you could do it this way" and climbed a little section with arms only, basically the pull over at the lip. Then he climbed back and said, "but you'll probably want to do it this way"...

I don't have any other pictures.
