Re: Break in at Southern Region (Again)

Post by tejas »

On Sunday afternoon(same day as the break-ins), after getting off of work at miguels, I went out to my van to go read and sleep for a bit. I woke up at around 5pm to a woman looking into my van windows and checking all of my doors to see if they were unlocked. She then went and checked the three cars next to me and tried to open all of them as well. After realizing that none of them were unlocked, she got back into her Dark Green chevy S10, KY Plate#635-NYA and drove off. She looked to be about mid thirties, pretty haggard with light brown hair.

I don't normally post on this site, but I figured it would be worth mentioning for people trying to keep and eye out.

Thank you, tejas and for your insight milmark. Gumby 'tactless' you are, or the latest Troll! Where's your common sense? Certainly not in your remarks! Maybe you don't know the Webers, been climbing out doors very long or climbing at The Red. Especially at the Southern Region or other outlying areas. You would know why Rick made such comments. Also the issues with safety and the occasional lack of common sense displayed within the great numbers of climbers the Local Community host. Maybe there is a reason for your 'understanding' of things. I don't see it! Climb Safe, BB.

It would be great to relay that info to the police department if you have time, tejas.

At least they are not burning your car to the ground like they used to do in the gorge, for fun.

There was a burned-out car abandoned on the Bald Rock Rd. hill a month or so ago.

If I leave my car there on purpose, hoping that they burn it down and total it, does that still count as insurance fraud?

i've seen the dark s10 numerous times in the middle of the day in the southern region, usually backed into a spot at the lode. there are several different drivers who i've seen in the same s10. they almost always pull out and leave when i drive by and mean mug them. i keep a record of dates, times, and places i see the truck, but they go to great lengths to make sure i can't read the plate.
