Dirty Unnamed Crack at Great Wall

Post by therealface2 »

I was feeling adventurous today and followed a dirty, unnamed right-leaning crack left of Legends of Limonite. It turned out to be a mess of bushwacking adventure with a surprisingly nice top-out (had to rap twice with a 60m rope, used the bolts from Bitter Ray of Sunshine for 2nd rap). Anybody know if that's been climbed before? With some cleaning it could be a decently fun 5.6. The upper section felt a little Gunks-ish. I always appreciate a top-out.

Did I unwittingly get an FA?

A 5.6 crack at a wall that's been established for about 10 years or so? Yeah, you probably got the first ascent.
Send all your information as well as unedited film of your entire ascent to firstascents@whogivesashit.com and we'll be sure to get your name in the next edition of the guidebook so you will forever be immortalized...
