PMRP and MFRP Road damaged during storm

Fyi the culvert in the road at the fork to sore heel/flathollar has washed out again. I could get my f150 through okay but it was narrow. This is a county road and have a call into the county road forman to see about getting it fixed ASAP. I will keep you posted with details

The MFRP road was washed out as well however I did not get in to see it yesterday. I will be working witht the proper channels to get it repaired ASAP as well.

Sorry about the inconveniance but it is what it is folks. We have had significant rainfall in the red in the last few weeks that really made a mess of things.


FYI DO NOT PARK NEXT TO, IN FRONT OF, OR AROUND ANY OIL EQUIPMENT WELLS OR Oil COMPANY VEHICLES.

DO NOT PARK WITH YOUR CAR STICKING OUT IN THE ROAD, YOU MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR CREWS TO GET THEIR RIGS THROUGH. PLEASE BE RESPONSABLE AND HIKE IN IF THE PARKING IS UNAVAILABLE AT SORE HEEL.

THE OIL COMPANY HAS PREMISSION TO TOW ANY VEHICLES IN VIOLATION. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND EDUCATE OTHERS.

More parking is being planned but given soil conditions will take another month or so to get built, please be patient.

Was the main road to Motherload damaged as well? We are planning to come next week with a compact car...

You should be good. Most of the road is fine it's just a 16ft section that is washed out. The county rd Forman knows about it and he is getting pressure from all end a to get it fixed but there are some more serious wash outs in lee county right now and that's where they are focusing ther efforts. Untill then please park at bottom of the hill and walk in.

FYI, Got a call today. Lee county boys are starting work on culvert tomarrow. Please give them a wide birth and be patient while they get their work done. Should be finsished with time to spare for the weekend.

Probably...... Park at the bottom of the hill and take the shortcut trail. Takes as long to drive to sore heel as it does to walk the shortcut.

That almost happened to Wes and I. We went to climb at Solar Collector and briefly debated driving to the very end of the road, but we decided not to. Later that day we heard heavy equipment. As we got close to the car we realized that they tore out the road to drain that lake which is no longer a lake. That car would still be there if we parked up there.
