What's the most underrated moderate?

Post by tradotto »

Just wondering if there are any that you think deserve better than their 0-2 stars?

You know, there is advanced search button in the online guidebook, and you can do all sorts of cool searches for you!

For example, you can ask for ALL sport climbing routes graded 5.8 to 5.10d that have one or 2 stars "officially", but have 3 stars, or 4 stars, or whatever, by user consensus.

Off the top of my head, I thought Watefall Ballet (10a at Shawnee Shelter) and PickPoket (10d at Brightside) deserved more than 2 stars.

Love Potion #9 at Crossroads is excellent for the grade

Yeah, I know. This is an internet forum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum "an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages."

If I need help with the search I will contact the site admins. But thank you.

I think that sudoku is a neat short 10a.

agree with waterfall ballet (shawnee shelter). definitely deserves more than two stars. i also thought special k (hideout) was a really cool route. tough, bouldery start (if you start under the bolt) to really cool, thoughtful climbing on holds that take a little body positioning to feel good (slopers, sidepulls, etc.).

slick and the 9mm (drive by) gets three stars, so i guess it's not really underrated, but i think it's as good as, and really similar too, bitter ray of sunshine (great wall) which gets four. i only mention it here 'cause i rarely see ppl on it! ppl do whip stocking or breakfast burrito for a warmup, but seems like they never get on this thing.

I thought Deeznuts(5.8) and Banjolero(5.10c) were both better than the two star rating in the guidebook.

Banjolero is definitely one of the better 10's around.
