About your dog.
I knew the dog was not yours. I know what your two dogs look like. I didn't "take issue up right to your face" because there was no blood drawn, and what if I did come back, would the dog have come again at me? Then whose fault would it be if I got bit.Gretchen wrote:JH, if you seriously thought the dog was mine, then why not take the issue up right to my face instead of threatening my sister then posting it on this site? Lot easier to play big man hiding behind a computer.
I didn't threaten your sister. I don't know your sister. All I said was,"Lady, I'll kill your fucking dog!" after I was 'nipped',.............and I kept walking.
Sorry J.H. didn't mean it to sound as though I was making light of your situation, yes it was an assault. If a dog bit me the owners would not only be paying for my doctor bills they would be paying for my new climbing gear that would be on order after Christian sues them for me. I bet if you walked by and bit the owner for no reason they'd sue you. How would you feel Yasmeen if some guy walked up and bit you in the arm or leg? I just don't understand why owners refuse to keep their animals under control 100% of the time. If they did none of this would ever be an issue.
How about this...If you know your dog is extremely annoying, tends to be aggressive towards strangers, or has had history of biting, keep it in the car when at crowded public places such as Miguel's. When at the crag, simply take a minute to tie some old webbing to it's collar and to a tree off the path. Oh, and please don't ever bring dogs that have a tendency to bark to a crag. I can't tell you how annoying it is to hear a dog barking at it's owner who happens to be climbing next to you while you are trying for a redpoint. Can you tell I have a little pent-up hostility?
I don't have the money to sue. If I did I, It would only be a counter suit because the owner tried to sue me after I killed their dog.
Yasmeen, If a child is mauled by a dog the first thing they do is put the dog down. If the owner of a dog beats a dog, do they put the owner down.? No. Dogs do not have the rights of humans.
I don't understand why you would even suggest that dogs and people are on, even close, to the same scale.
