Please carpool on weekends

Post by clif »

as Mr. Weber wrote:

With spring maintenance completed, the private road to Muir Valley and the parking lots are in excellent condition.

For those coming to Muir Valley on Saturdays, please car pool when possible. For the past five weekends, parking has overflowed the two lots onto the private driveway. You can avoid the crowds at Bruise Brothers by going to the other moderate climbing areas, such as Coyote Cliff, Bone Yard, Johnny's Wall, Tectonics Wall, Animal Crackers, Stadium, Sunbeam Buttress, Sunnyside, Guide Wall, and Land Before Time. Even on the busiest of weekends, many of these areas are vacant.

The three restrooms in the Valley floor are under construction and could be completed within the next few weeks.

and please, consider using the money saved on gas to donate to the maintenance of Muir's exemplary infrastructure.
training is for people who care, i have a job.

If you want to carpool and are meeting in the gorge, there are several places where it's OK to leave your cars:

- Miguels/Lagos/Arches if you're staying there. Miguel's asks you park in the back and not in front of the store.
- Koops - park in the gravel lot by the storage areas. Very handy if one person is staying at Miguels and 1 at Lagos and you want to climb in Muir - or meeting up to go to PMRP
- Park N Ride - this is the parking lot by the chevron.
- Lowe's Parking Lot off of exit 110 on 75 - particularly handy for those of us living in Lexington that carpool with someone living from out of town :-)

How long until the auto belay devices are completed?
Also, any idea of a time frame for the new cubbies at Bruise?
