Maine

Post by One-Fall »

The wife and I are headed there this summer for a few days. Will be in Acadia mostly. Any can't miss climbs/areas? Will likely be using a guide, so trad is ok too.

A little down the road, but what about Shagg Crag?

Thx!
Can't we all just get along?

A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to climb at Eagle Bluffs for an afternoon. Had a great time on some interesting routes without all the crowds.

Shagg Crag is awesome! Super unique sport climbing. I highly recommend it. Of lesser quality, but still fun is Jockey's Cap near Newry. There is some potential near Grafton's Notch as well for more traditional climbing, and of course Cathedral in NH. Also, if you are into bouldering, definitely hit up Pawtuckaway in NH.

I would take any suggestions from Skeptic with a grain or salt.
