Just clarifying. I still hold that this is a bolted crack and therefore a detriment to the climbing community.

I doubt that that thing would hold up anywhere near as long as a bolt does.

Not to mention that repeatedly using those would erode the hole.... at least in the first case.

If you think that is a bolted crack, you haven't been to a certain crag with a 90 foot bolted dihedral.
Skipping cruxes is a way of life.

I have. I may be wrong, but I didn't think it would protect well. Russ and Jeff would have tied Piggy down and if that could go on gear.

There's lots of bolted trad lines in HG... it's hard to narrow it down :(
