Media frenzy!!
Media frenzy!!
Ondra attack in a week or so! So psyched to see him onsight everything! Someone take him to Skeletor pj!
Re: Media frenzy!!
He gets another shot to onsite (or flash) 5.14d, which is just insane. It will be cool to see how he fairs on Southern Smoke Direct as well. Count me among the chuffers who gets psyched about this level of mutant making a visit.
Will Adam T. allow him a taste of his proj, or is that bad boy off limits? I don't know Adam T. too well other than he is a silent crusher.

efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening
Re: Media frenzy!!
i hope adam keeps his proj. he put in the hard work.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
Re: Media frenzy!!
What little I know of Adam seems due respect. I hope he keeps his project!
Re: Media frenzy!!
There are plenty of other 5.15's on that wall for Harry Potter to bolt.
You mean that relatively moderate slab climb at a closed crag?allah wrote:Someone take him to Skeletor pj!
Re: Media frenzy!!
I wasn’t implying he should or shouldn’t, and even if I were it wouldn’t matter. Obviously he put in the work so should do as he pleases. I was just wondering how the mind of Adam pleased.
IF I were a bolter, such as pigsteak, and bolted something hard that I had been working for a while, sometimes I might get lonely working my sick proj. I might have a grade estimate in my head for the climb, and I might be thinking something like, “Hey brentucky, I’ll give you one shot at this rig. If you onsite it sweet, if not, also sweet. I just want to sit back and watch you try hard to get to the top of my sick proj and see what you think of it. By the way, why don’t you make your lazy ass useful and brush that hold for me on the way down.”
My own ostensibly fame-loving personality would want the “probably strongest dude in the world” to climb on a climb I found and bolted IF I thought it would be an appropriate challenge. However, I would not let it become the other dude’s project if I thought I had a chance somewhere down the road. I would give the dude one shot, or maybe two, if he seemed appreciative and desiring to take that shot knowing that is all he would get. Then I would still be psyched to send it whether the “probably strongest dude in the world” failed or succeeded. Shit, if he failed, then I’d be even more psyched to send.
My persepective may be a little different if I actually bolted and realized the difficulty in even finding something like a rare 5.15 line. Then I may be more inclined to tell Harry Potter to bolt his own as Dustin implied.
Once again, it doesn’t matter what I think. It’s just fun to talk about stupid shit and see what other stupid people think about it.

Re: Media frenzy!!
Hahaha Harry Potter at the Boneryard, that would be hilarious!!
On another note, Enzo bolted a very reachy extension to Thug Life he thought might be mid-15... seems like the perfect proj for our visiting scholar of wizardry.
And yeah, Brenty you got it about right. My favorite ploy is to find someone who is almost but not quite strong enough to send my sick projects, and then sit back and watch their spirit get crushed by it over a matter of weeks (or sometimes months)... the great Germanic tradition of schadenfreude!!

Re: Media frenzy!!
I knew I should've been suspicious when you asked if I wanted to try the "vert" proj!
