one footed climbing...

Post by meetVA »

Dumb question expects smart answers....

Okay, so I'm still on crutches.

Anyone have suggestions for routes that wouldn't be to killer for a one-footed climber. On two feet, let's be honest, I'm only okay, so nothing over a 5.9 might be smart but really, all suggestions are welcome!

Thanks.

Blue Plate Special at Oil Crack. It's a ladder.

there is a pretty good 9 at the dark side that you could do with one foot.

Try "Big in Japan" at In Between. I has lots of little ledges and good hands for balancing on one foot. You probably could even lead it. Also try "Penalty Box" (first pitch) at the Arena. It's a little trickier on one foot, but doable (did I make a word?)

You should contact my boyfriend, Vic via PM. He's almost recovered from a cracked bone in his foot and has climbed on one foot for several weeks. He will have a wealth of information!

I think it's awesome that you're still climbing... hard core, man!

It is only 3 weeks into the crutches and I could have anywhere up to 5 weeks more (if they decide I don't need surgery). Oi vey!

Anyway, got into the gym the other day (you know, because you go insane if you can't climb) and it only made the itch to get outdoors worse. Shee-eet.

Thanks for the leads, I'll definitely check'em out.
