Shoot - i'm not sure if the link is working properly. It's called Manna's Cafe on Main in Beatyville. Prime Rib is one of their specials. Mmmmmm MEAT :-D

I found out about it on https://www.facebook.com/BeattyvilleLeeCountyTourism

Pretty neat stuff :-)

I tried to go to Kaydee's with a friend last month- the sign is gone and the building looked empty so my best guess would be closed :(

And it shouldn't be! I spoke to the owner of the DQ (also on the emergency crew), and I know that Bville has started a tourism committee to see what they can do to draw people, especially climbers, to their area. That was last fall and I haven't heard anything yet.

Indeed there is, and they could use climbers' help at the KY State Fair later this month! Anyone and everyone, please sign up if you are available :D :
"The Ky State Fair is August 16-26th. Lee County is, for the first time, having a booth in the "pride of the counties" exhibit. I am creating a 22x34" poster exhibit for PMRP and The RRGCC. If you would like to come help manage the booth a day and maybe bring some climbing gear to demonstrate, it would be great."

We can really use all the help we can get with this. Ideally we'd love to have a climber there each and every day. If you can do only 1/2 days that would be fine too. Please call and volunteer your time. This is a great opportunity to establish some positive relationships with the county for rock climbing. Remember our roads are county roads. The helipad was put in with county assistance. They have already helped us, now it's our turn to give back when they ask for a bit of help :-)

If you can help please contact secretary@rrgcc dot org for more information"
