Election 2012
Re: Election 2012
Who gives a crap about Edwards anyway? Unlike a lot of Limbaugh fanatics, I don't exactly have a john edwards bumper sticker on my car, and he certainly isn't telling me what to think. If he is, I'm not listening.
Re: Election 2012
lol...we need more people to join the fray...these same tired out platitudes we are slinging from both sides are no longer fun for me.....
how about you guys defend the neo cons for awhile and I'll defend the frothy mouths....

also, i liked edwards because he was the only candidate in my lifetime that gave significant attention to poverty. most others shun the issue for fear of being labeled a socialist by the right. edwards turning out to be a man-sized douche doesn't exactly change the importance of his message. doesn't the right (the religious ones, anyways) often preach hate the sin, not the sinner. people care too much about personal flaws. i wouldn't have cared that dubya was an alcoholic, coke-headed, legacy-brat if he would've been a competent president. i certainly didn't care that clinton was getting blowies in the oval office and i don't care that obama...wait, what is obama's flaw supposed to be? (liar, muslim, black, not a "real" american, no birth certificate, etc.) romney shouldn't be president because his policies would likely be a grab-bag of rich people's wet dreams (oligarchy!!!), not because he tied a dog to a car roof or beat up a gay kid once (well, maybe that one should get him barred).

wait, obama wasn't a coke head?
Re: Election 2012
The previous chart is wrong in so many ways. Obama has increased the deficit in 4 yrs worse than bush could in 8 yrs. Obama continued meaningless wars, but he gets no credit for that, I suppose. I also pay capital gains tax when I sell the stock that I own. I paid full tax on my money before spending it on stock. Why should I then have to pay full tax again when I sell? You work, you pay tax once. You invest in stock, you pay twice. People don't get it. And I am not defending Romney's policies, but Obama has been useless so far, so he hasn't earned another chance. I don't want to continue running up trillion dollar deficits on wasted government spending.

You are ALL missing the point.

That is the problem..... people should vote for who they believe will be the best candidate, regardless of their chances to win the primary or even the election. When people vote for the most likely candidate, then you end up with a jack-hole like romney. I voted for Paul in my primary because I believe we need real change, and I'm not talking about the rhetoric Obama claimed with his 08 bid.vertical1 wrote:And I can't vote for Ron Paul because it would be a wasted time at the ballot, and weather is usually nice early November.
Obama is a great speaker and very charismatic, but that doenst mean he did a lick of good in office. In the end, he is like every other politician. He flip flops on issues and blows sunshine up your ass to get votes. At least you know where Paul stands on the issues and he is adamant about small government... which is something that has been getting lost lately.
Re: Election 2012
excellent example vertical..but the frothy mouths will say you should pay your fair share which means being taxed on the taxed money.
