It's probably illegal, I would imagine. We've never had a problem with our fire pit but we have a privacy fence and cool neighbors. Just keep it small and in control and you should be fine. Translation: Don't let Horatio near it.

Umm. Yeah, open fires aren't really legal. But that's okay. I don't know of anyone actually doing it.

I have some friends that live in lex that have fires in their backyard when they have parties. Not sure if it's legal, but they get by with it. Just make sure your neighbors don't mind.

We used to have a fire pit at my old house. We had the cops called 3 times and the fire department twice. Basically the fire dept was cool once they checked it out and realized it was under control in a confined space (surrounded by cinder blocks). Got two tickets for noise from the cops there though. If the fire's not raging or smoking it will be cool. I'd worry more about the fuzz.

Is a Granny climber welcome? hee, hee
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

Yeah, I should probably worry about the fuzz and the Ho. Ho and fire get rather mischievous together.

Of course granny climbers are welcome!

I REALLY wish that I was going to be there. Please have a drink (or two) for me!

I will be thinking of you all while I am camping/climbing in Quebec with some friends! I will raise a toast to all of you and to the RRG!
