Diuretic effects have to hit people differently.Yes or no on the question of coffee the morning before hitting the crag?

The following study monitored urination, but it apparently did not get messier, at the other end, where coffee has a great effect on people. http://www.active.com/nutrition/Article ... rmance.htm

I try to snag a cup right when I get up or as I am leaving, if I drink right before the crag I'll end up wasting time taking a dump.

If i'm looking for a pick-me-up before climbing, I usually just smoke a little meth.

Now we have another incentive when trying to goad him into a late day send. First margarita's, now a bump of the good stuff. Perhaps we can get some of Gustavo's blue ice.

It is not so much a question if it would enhance performance for me, but rather how I would get the shakes detoxing...

On the advice of a burlier man than I, I quit coffee (caffeine in general) and vastly improved my tendon-injury recovery time. Ymmv.

I've never climbed without coffee first... Not sure if it makes things better or worse. It'd probably be difficult to climb with caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Maybe after a 28 day addiction detox.
